David meets Garry Kasparov at the Art of Chess exhibition, Somerset House, followed by a visit to see David Blaine suspended in his box at Potters Field,
18th October, 2003.


David is the first recipient of a new award, the English Chess federation John Robinson Fellowship. It will be awarded annually by the ECF to the most talented English player, male or female, under the age of 21. David received his award at the British Championships in August.


David is presented with the English Chess Federation 2007 Player of the Year Award. This was recognition of David becoming England's youngest ever Grandmaster.
